Withyou / Privacy
Privacy
Last updated 27 August 2026. We collect as little as we can to run a kind accountability space.
What we store
- Account details: email, display name, password hash (not your plain password)
- Profile: bio, interests, avatar, experience preferences
- Goals, check-ins, encouragement notes, follows, goal joins, invite lists
- Reports you submit about harmful behaviour
Visibility is your control
Goals can be Everyone, People I follow, Invite only, or Only me. Invite only is meant for personal topics you choose not to put on the public board. Profiles are open to visit; what others see still respects each goal's visibility.
How we use data
To run Withyou: sign-in, show your goals to the right people, power follows and joins, and keep the circle safer via reports. We do not sell your personal data. We are not running ads on Withyou right now.
Cookies
We use a signed session cookie so you stay logged in, plus a small local preference for light/dark theme on your device.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask for deletion by contacting us; we will remove account content we control, except where we must keep a short record of reports for safety.
Contact
For privacy questions or deletion requests, email the address you use to run Withyou (set this to your real support inbox before public launch).
